WHAT EXACTLY IS LUMBAR FACET SYNDROME?
Facet joints, also known as Z-joints, are the joints that are found behind vertebrae that are next to each other. They are responsible for providing extended stability to the spinal column while still permitting movement. Back pain and/or discomfort can arise as a result of lumbar facet syndrome, which develops when these joints become inflamed or injured.
